I think if I didn’t have PCOS I would be a mesomorph, since that’s more or less my build and that of my brothers. Unfortunately I have an endomorph metabolism that likes to store any remotely semi-unhealthy thing as fat and mainly on my stomach.

Primal Palate’s Turkey Meatballs    
I made these tonight using a mixture of half ground beef and half ground turkey to reduce the strong turkey flavor. I also added in some chopped mushrooms for an amazing dish.

My Body Gallery: What real women look like 

I ran across this great site earlier today. It allows you to search for images of women at any height and weight. Some have even listed their body type for a more precise search. It was interesting to look up pictures of women at my goal weight and in between. My choices were limited but I’m sure you girls whose heights are closer to the average will have a wider selection.

The medical community has finally acknowledged that the BMI is out of date.

Many in the field are pushing a new method called the Body Adiposity Index (BAI). It calculates your height and hip circumference and is suppose to be a lot more precise. If you’re interested to see how one compares against the other I found a website that does just that.

How To Deal With Negative People 

Because no matter what happens in life, no matter how old you get, job you have or how thin or fat you become, there will always be someone who isn’t going to like you.

Building confidence in yourself, and understanding that negative people you encounter in life are projecting their issues onto you, will take you a long way. Don’t wait until you think you’re perfect (which odds are won’t happen) or believe you deserve respect to start understanding that you do.

My Ideal Body Weight

Has been so tough to calculate because I’m what you would call “big boned” so I have a medium/large frame. I’m so happy I found that link: (http://www.changingshape.com/resources/references/idealbodyweight.asp). My ideal body weight is somewhere between 145-160. I have a ton of muscle. 

Mine is 155-176; I’m glad my expectations are realistic. Sometimes I feel like I’m settling when I see other girls’ goal weights but maybe their frames are just a lot smaller then mine. I can tell from already visible hip and shoulder bones that I definitely have a large frame. Which is so strange since I have such tiny wrists and ankles.
