I’m official done with with the Body Revolution. I’m not sure why on the video Jillian says ‘final 2 weeks’ because the booklet says the last workouts are for 3 but I ended up following the video. My older brother wanted to restart the program with me this week and I figured if I was going to jump right back into it than it wouldn’t be a problem, so I skipped the 3rd week. Plus I was looking forward to the “easier” routines. The joke is on me, quick search of my own tags would have reminded me of how much pain I was in the first 2 weeks. I checked in with him today and it turned out that he flaked out the first freaking day. Another fit buddy down the drain.
Here’s my final measurements.

I kept putting off taking the last two, I had some really bad hormonal issues for over a month but in the end they still look really good to me. I may have gained 6 pounds over 80 days but I’ve lost an entire pant size. In case anyone is wondering, no I didn’t bulk up. In fact unless I flex you can’t even see the muscles but I did slim down all over.
I noticed a lot of people seem to be having problems with feeling ill or persistent pain while doing the program. I get that; the lack of breaks can build up inflammation. Towards the end I was taking an extra day off every other week because my hips were snapping just walking around. I just hope most of the people complaining about illness aren’t following Jillian’s diet plan. She has some great tips for nutrition, but I don’t think a majority of people can stay healthy while eating only 1200 calories a day, especially doing these workouts. It seems like most of the people who are having the best success with these workout programs (Body Revolution, Insanity, P90X, etc,) are on their 4th or 5th round with it. Proving if you want to be in amazing shape, 90 days is just the start.

So far I’m loving Jillian’s program. The routines are easy to follow and if you’ve used workout videos before there are no surprises. The challenge is more in keeping up with the pace. They move through the routines quickly to keep your heart rate up. At around 30-37 minutes long it’s easy to find time for my workout every day.

Yeah, I’m the perfect example of an apple shape.
I’ve put on 6 pounds but I’ve lost at least an inch on most of my measurements, with the main exception being my upper arms. Not bad but there’s a reason it’s a 91 day program. It would be nice if my weight drops back down again by the end of the 30 days but at this point I’m thrilled with the changes in my measurements.
